Spoopy Witch Hat

Oh, I love fall! I don’t know anyone who doesn’t, honestly. Crisp air, pretty leaves, apple cider and toasty bonfires. Plus, my birthday is the first day of fall!

Another great thing about fall is Halloween! Sure, I’m older now so I don’t go trick-or-treating or dress up all in costume, but that doesn’t mean I don’t try looking festive. This year I thought to get a jump on it, and make myself a cute little hair accessory for the 31st. I thought maybe you’d want to make one too!

Here it is – the spoopiest witch hat ever! I really made it for my sister, who loves Halloween and everything spooky and scary- and from whom the expression “3 spoopy 5 me” originates (thus, the “spoopy” witch hat). It’s small and sits jauntily on your head. I contemplated putting the picture with it perched off to the side, but thought better of it.

I was really inspired by Red Heart’s with Love Metallic yarn, because it’s so soft and shimmery. PLUS they have an orange that is literally called Pumpkin, so I couldn’t resist!

I would love to see your hats, if you want to share them on Instagram – tag me @craftchampion

You can also drop me a comment on here – or follow me on Ravelry and upload it as a picture/project there! I would really love to hear from you!

I’ll have to post later – I also grabbed Red Heart with Love Metallic in Charcoal, and  I’m excited to see how that turns out, too. 🙂

Happy crocheting!
